Poster Sessions
All attendees are invited to submit poster abstracts (max. 300 words, please give full author list and affiliations) to corinna.lindermann.ext(at)lir-mainz.de. The abstract will be published in a printed booklet that will be handed out to attendees on site. No electronic versions of abstracts or posters will be distributed.

ECS Short Talks
Suitable poster abstracts by early-career scientists (undergraduate, PhD, or postdoctoral students) are selected for short talks. If you would like to be considered, please indicate your career stage when you submit your abstract.
Decisions about ECS short talk applications submitted by July 31st will be announced by August 9th. In exceptional circumstances, abstracts submitted after July 31st (original deadline) and before August 31st (extended deadline) can be considered. Decisions will be announced soon thereafter.
ECS Travel Stipends
The LIR funds travel stipends for early-career scientists (undergraduate, PhD, or postdoctoral students). A total of 20.000 € is available. Amounts: 1700 € and waived registration fee for ECSs based outside Europe; 700 € plus waived registration fee for ECSs based in Europe outside Germany.
Selections will be made on the basis of the scientific quality of the abstract (ECSs selected for a short talk will be prioritized) or the relevance of the organizational contribution.
Applicants from lower-income countries will be prioritized. Decisions on applications submitted by July 31st will be communicated by August 9th, after which selected candidates must imperatively register for the symposium (choose “green” participant category without fee). Decisions on applications submitted after July 31st (original deadline) and before August 31st (extended deadline) will be announced soon after August 31st.
Non-selected applicants can still register for the symposium after the date (ignore general registration deadline). Stipend payments will be made after the symposium, conditional upon participation with poster or short talk.

Poster Award
The best poster will receive a poster award (€300,--).
