Curtain up for Prof. Christian Lüscher and his latest findings on resilience and drug addiction
Only recently awarded with another prestigious prize, Prof. Christian Lüscher from the Neurocenter at the University of Geneva is already giving a lecture at our institute. The neurobiologist's area of expertise is the subject of addiction. Among other things, Lüscher was able to establish causal links between drug-induced synaptic plasticity and adaptive behavior in mice. The title of the lecture, "Synaptic Plasticity Underlying Compulsion in Addiction", is therefore not surprising. Lüscher will discuss the latest research findings in the context of resilience and drug addiction with colleagues here at the LIR.
