Early learning: young people from ARCHE Frankfurt explore the Leibniz Institute for Resilience Research

On 12.04.2024, the Leibniz Institute for Resilience Research (LIR) welcomed potentially new young colleagues. 17 young people from ARCHE Frankfurt, aged between 13 and 18, were given an insight into the professional world of resilience researchers.

Kate Utzschneider (Head of the Transfer Platform) opened the meeting with an introduction to resilience. "What is it and how can you strengthen your resilience?" - important questions that were answered for the young people. Representatives from the HR department provided information about the training opportunities offered by the LIR.

And then things got even more exciting: this was followed by a visit to the LIR laboratories of the Müller research group (headed by Prof. Dr. Marianne Müller) and the Stroh research group (headed by Prof. Dr. Albrecht Stroh). The young people were given insights into behavioral experiments and the imaging of the brains of mice.

Full of ideas about possible careers in a research context, the young people then drove back to Frankfurt.
